Over three days, you’ll join a circle of fellow participants for a curriculum-rich experience centered around the Circlesong and teaching elements of the full retreat. Together, we’ll cultivate presence, play, and the art of meeting life’s uncertainty through music and community. Through embodied practices— voice, body percussion, and spontaneous creation, we’ll enter flow states that nourish both spirit and body.

No musical experience necessary – all levels welcome.
This intensive is designed to be accessible for those new to music-making, while still offering depth and inspiration for developing and seasoned musicians alike.
For those new to making music, expect to: 
  • Discover ways to connect with innate rhythm

  • Feel safe to try new things in a playful and supportive container 
  • Learn and cultivate personal practices and techniques of expression

For experienced musicians, expect to:

LOGISTICS & DETAILS

LOCATION:
All sessions will be held at Sedonya Conscious Living Center in West Sedona, Arizona.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Lodging is not included, but we’re happy to help you connect with other participants for shared housing. If you’d like to join the WhatsApp thread to coordinate accommodations, simply check the box at checkout and we’ll add you in.

MEALS:
A delicious, gluten-free, plant-based lunch will be catered each day of the intensive.
We’ll also gather for an optional group dinner on Monday evening to close our time together (meal cost not included). Details will be shared closer to the event.
The remainder of meals are on your own. 

DAILY SCHEDULE: 
Arrival: 10:00 AM
Departure: 5:30 PM
Our main programming concludes Monday 10/13 evening, followed by an optional group dinner to celebrate and integrate.

On Tuesday October 14, Poranguí will perform in concert at The Hub at Posse Grounds. This is a separate event not included in your intensive ticket. We invite you to spend the day enjoying the beauty of Sedona and join us again that evening for a powerful musical experience.

TRANSPORTATION & TRAVEL DETAILS: 
If you are traveling to Sedona: 
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport – approx. 2 hours by car (be sure to allow extra time for city traffic)
Flagstaff Pulliam Airport – approx. 1 hour by car (allow extra time for potential tourist traffic)
If you’re local to Northern Arizona, please also note that October is high season in Sedona. Plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to arrive, we want you present, grounded, and not rushing in late. Your presence from the very beginning matters.

What meals are included?
Each day you'll enjoy a nourishing, organic, gluten-free, plant-based lunch prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Feel free to bring any extra snacks or proteins if you have specific preferences or requirements. We’ll also gather for an optional group dinner on Monday evening to close our time together (meal cost not included). Details will be shared closer to the event. The remainder of meals are on your own. 

What should I bring with me?
Comfortable layers – Sedona weather and indoor temperatures can fluctuate so come prepared for warmth and coolness. We will be inside for most of the workshops but may gather outdoors if weather permits. 
Refillable water bottle – Filtered drinking water will be available on site.
Snacks – While lunch is provided, you’re welcome to bring your favorite snacks or additional protein to stay nourished throughout the day.
Journal + pen – For group activities and notes. We'll have extra paper on site if you forget yours. 

Can I come for just one day? 
This is a full 3-day intensive and we encourage participants to attend in full to receive the complete experience. We do not offer single day tickets at this time.

Should I bring my own instruments? 
Workshops will be working solely with the voice and body as our main instrument, so they are not needed for workshops. However, participants may choose to make music together in the evenings. 

Is this retreat appropriate if I’m pregnant, healing or sensitive? 
Absolutely. The space is designed to be inclusive and supportive. The format does include both standing, sitting, and movement for periods of time. Chairs and cushions available on site. Please let us know of any specific needs in advance so we can support you fully. We request no strong perfumes or scents in the shared space.  

Will there be breaks during the day?
Yes, there will be time built into the workshop schedule for bathroom breaks and lunch. Additionally, you'll have mornings and evenings for personal time, hiking, and connecting with other participants. 

Is there a refund policy?
Yes, 25% of the registration fee is non-refundable. If you're no longer able to attend, tickets are transferable. To request a refund (minus the non-refundable portion) or transfer your ticket to someone else, please email [email protected].

Is there parking on site? 
Yes, there is parking on site at Sedonya. If needed, we will coordinate overflow parking nearby.
